Non Tradish Christmas Sugar!

I finally got around to getting sticky again in
and this time the fabulous Marlene provided the sketch
with the added prompt to use 'Zig Zags'
Again i've used the ever so lovely sugar nellie 'Peace Angel' by Diane Duda coloured with my lyra crayons and a water brush.
The papers are a mix of BG and CC with an embossed snowflake panel and some corrugated card.. all of which i distressed the edges and inked with aged mahogany DI.
This also fits in with
Papertake Weekly 'Christmas Crackers'
Creative Card Crew 'Favourite Things'
{my sugar nellie stamps}
Allsorts 'Christmas carol or song title'
{Angels from the realms of glory!}
Thanks for looking

Fastest post in the west...

I'm literally talking about the quickness of this post as i have about 5 minutes b4 i have to head out to work.. here is my entry for the Create 4 fun challenge
This is their sketch to follow...
And this is how i worked it...

I used the the fab SN Peace Angel stamp which i coloured for a change with my lyra crayons and a water brush.. been ages since i played with them and had forgot how cool the effect can be, i used BG papers and the sentiment is one i made on the comp and backed onto a nestie bloom diecut, i finished with some fab large paper roses.
{sorry the pics a bit bright & whitish.. had to use flash as indoor lighting really doesn't make for a good pic, not that this is much better lol}

Having a spring break!!!

As you may be able to tell from previous posts i'm a little bit of a humbug when it comes to christmas...
So when my brand spanking New Release MABEL'S arrived it really brightened my day... This one in particular is just the cutest ever
It's called 'Nature's Little Helper' and is 1 of 3 new mabels released today @ The Artistic Stamper
I coloured the image by lifting ink straight from my versa colour mini cube pads with a waterbrush.. which worked ok.. gives quite a nice creamy watercolour finish, and it made a nice change from my usual copics.
I made my own background paper by using the AS Dotty background stamp. I also made my own flowers using the flower power plate and the Mini Lattice stamp.
I used my MS doily lace and SU oval and scalloped oval punches. And finished with several gems to add that little bit of sparkle!
The sketch i used is this weeks Mojo Monday challenge.
Creative Inspirations has a 'Sparkle' theme and
Creative Card Crew is 'Strings Attached'
Thanks for stopping by...

1st WOJ

I'd been hankering after some the gorgeous whiff of joy stamps for some time and finally saved enough pennies to get a couple.. This also ment i could join in with the WOJ challenge which this week is a colour combo or 'Orange,Brown & Ivory'
I coloured hunky 'Matthew with present' using copics and edged with walnut stain DI
I've used the fab sketch from Stamp Something and
Paperplay's theme is to use '2 patterned paper-1 ribbon-3 buttons' which i managed to do.
I finished off by using some yummy paper flowers and leaves from my stash.
Oh i nearly forgot one.. part of the inspiration for the creation was this inspiration prompt from PlayDateCafe

Sugar & Spice...NOT!

Ok.. so i'm way later than i wanted to be with this post.. the joys of a working life!!!! I finally have a couple of well earned days off.. so can finally share the card i made on Saturday!!
I managed a whopping 6 challenges with this card
Allsorts 'Bling'
Stamp Scrap & Doodle 'Special Folds'
Create 4 Fun 'The Sketch'
One Stop Craft 'Cards for Kids'
Secret Crafter 'An Easel Card'
The pic doesn't do it justice really.. but it was the best out of i don't know how many i tryed to take and in the end gave up.. maybe i'll try one more time later if the sun decides to come out {highly unlikely}
I used an assortment of papers including BG, DCWV and one i created myself using the houndstooth background stamp from Artistic Stamper... I gave gorjuss some padded wings and used one of my own design skull stamps to embellish along with some yummy paper roses.. oh and of course lots and lots of bling'y gems!
Don't forget today is the last day to enter my candy!

Be Thankful!

I fell in the Sugar Bowl again...but rather then climb out i decided to stay sticky and join in the fun...
This time round the fab sketch is by Judy.. with the added prompt to 'Be Thankful' {seeings as our American chums are celebrating thanksgiving}
This card came out nothing like i planned... It was one of those cards that at the start you cant seem to find the right paper .. you find what you think will work, and it doesn't! .. it nearly goes in the bin your so fed up .. then from nowhere it all seems to come together perfectly.

And seeing as it is a thankful card...

I would just like to take the opportunity to say a massive thank you to each and ever person that takes the time to come visit my blog.. listen to my waffle and view my work {especially the one's who come back again!}, no matter how often.. each and every comment is read and appreciated very much, It really makes this whole blogging lark worth while.. it also helps me to grow and develop my creativity and to strive to make better cards.

Very first LOTV card!

After recently getting my very first Lili of the Valley stamps i thought I'd join in with the LOTV challenge {you don't need to use their stamps but i wanted too}
This week there is a recipe:
3 Papers, 2 Stamps, 1 Type of Embellishment
I went for the 3 yummy BG papers {a couple of which i machine stitched the edges}, 2 lotv teds which i coloured with copics and 1 old crimbo candle ornament {which i recycled for the flower and holly leaves}
The sentiment is an acrylic tile matted onto a punched out surround with brads.
A quick close up...
Isn't he just darling.. i used picket fence distress stickles on the hat and rock candy DS on the star.
This also ticks the boxes to join in with this weeks Fun with shapes with their theme 'Recycling'

Double Trouble!

I can't believe its almost friday again... but i'm just in time to enter my card for the Totally Gorjuss challenge which was 'Seeing Double'

The card has a vintage feel as it was for another challenge but do you think i can find which one it was.. oh well, its still ok for Winter Wonderland with a 'Jingle Bells' theme.

The Gorjuss are coloured with copics, I used a bit of rock candy to age the image {this pic sort of shows it!!!} Then rubbed some vintage photo distress ink all over. Its not one of my best efforts but i quite like it.. hope you do too :)
Oh b4 i forget, i just wanted to show what happened to all the little halloween tags i made..

And my OH's parents house looked like this which is where the treats were being handed out :)

Thanks for taking the time to visit me today or any day for that matter x

It's Raining Sweets!

I wanted to have an ickle break from cards so decided to make a little treat bag instead. I had the idea a few weeks ago when one of the challenges was to use acetate, i never quite made that one, but seeing as Stamp Scrap & Doodle has the theme this week 'anything but a card' it was the perfect excuse to finish it off. This also fits in with Papertake Weekly with their theme 'Spots n Stripes'

I created the box without any instructions, just had a little play and this is what i came up with. The lid is held on with the ribbon that you see, It loops on 2 sides and then ties underneath. I used my 'Rainy day' Mabel stamp available @ The Artist Stamper.

I coloured her with copics, the cut and mounted her to the outside of the box which is actually a hanging piece.
The 'friend' you can see in the back is part of another stamp from the mabel range.

I filled with yummy dolly mixtures as a nice little treat for someone!
Now its just a case of deciding who gets that treat!
{and before anyone mentions it.. yeah i've just seen i put the wrong month on my photos lol.. dozey mare i am. but tecnically i did make it in oct {just!!}
