My Guy Ian...

No i don't have a new man in my life, i'm talking about one of the fab Greetings farm Ian stamps that i've used for this card.. isn't he just adorable.
I do find mens cards quite challenging, mainly coz i don't make that many but i think this one turned out ok.
I got my great colour combo from the 'Photo Inspiration challenge' over at Basic Grey
I've used Wisteria, Marrakech and Off Beat papers.
I tarted it up with some silver coloured wooden stars and a couple of pins.
The little car is a plastic button and the wording stamp is greetings farm.
This card also fits in with the following challenges:

Frilly Friendship for Christmas!

I had a lovely crafty session with a friend yesterday evening via webcam... {i don't know what i'd do without it, i only have 1 crafty friend who lives sort of near to me, so this is like a lifeline to my far away mates}... anyways enough of my sad life lol
....
She found a super 'sketch' over at Crafty Catz.
I choose to turn it 90° clockwise as i had already coloured an image
which is the Greetings Farm, I coloured with a smudge of distress ink and then copic'ed.
{sorry for the glare in the pic.. had to use the flash as the light is very poor and i've not worked out how to edit in PSP yet!!}

I added a bit of sparkle with my clear sepia pen and some frosted lace stickles.
I framed the 'nestie'd image with gorgeous lace and finished off with some paper roses and a pin i made myself and a punched out circle i stamped the greeting onto.
The papers are DCWV and BG and the sentiment stamp is Magnolia.
This card also fits the Fun with Shapes challenge which is 'Borders and frames' this week and Simon Says Stamp with the theme 'All that Sparkles'.
.....
Thanks for looking and have a fab weekend... i'm off this morning to a 'Sincerely Yours' craft fair in Taunton, it's only a small one but Oyster stamps are gonna be there and i love that shop he he

Hoppy Birthday

Another quick post sharing
the card i made for my mum
for her birthday last month.
She likes frogs and i had just got the fab "down by the pond" set of stamps from the greetings farm and hadn't used them so thought it the perfect opportunity.
I used both my copics and promarkers on the frog.
I used my nestie blossom die for the lilly pads!
The background is a very glittery card and i used my L-Em punches for the foliage.
Nice to see you, come back soon x

Quick Cutie

Just a short and sweet post to share a card i made using one of the fab Anya images a friend kindly stamped for me, you know who you are xx
Isn't she adorable

I have also just learnt how to hand make ribbon roses which are so simple and so awesome, i'm just so impressed at how good they look i had to add a few to the card.
A couple of people have asked so i'll be popping up a tutorial of how to do the ribbon roses soon xx
Other bits used were a cuttlebug folder & black soot distress ink, Image coloured using copics and promarkers, Slice die cut word.
Thanks for popping by xx

CCC #10

While checking out a new friends blog i found a link to a challenge blog that she's a DT member of.
This week the theme is MINIMAL
Now usually that's so not me but i thought i'd give it a try... i was working on a card and decided it would be the perfect candidate as whats more minimal than a card you cant really see!
I'm talking acetate.. i've wanted to try a clear card for a while as the ones i keep seeing on peeps blogs look so awesome.

I used my ever so cute TGF Deer stamp, coloured with copics and promarkers.
I cut the trees out freehand from BG paper, also making sure i did double so the back looks as good as the front..guess i should of taken a pic of that too.. note to self for next time!
The trunks are cut from a wood effect paper i had, and i put grass effect DCWV paper on the inside and back. I finished with the little sentiment "Deer Friend" also a TGF stamp which was stamped direct to the front panel in timber brown stazon ink.
I defiantly think i'll be making more of these clear cards, they rock!
Thanks for stopping by

Double Whammy!

Today i managed to combine 2 challenges for this card
1.Secret Crafter #31 Brads or Eyelets..or both!
2.ICSketches #15

Seeing the shape immediately made me think of a fish tank, who knows why but it did, and as i had just received my new Greeting Farm stamp set "down by the pond" with the most fab fishy i though it would work perfectly.
What do you think?

I used a sheet of K&Co paper in the background to look like wallpaper, Used my Slice to cut the tank shape from some wood grain effect texture paper.
I placed a couple of sheets of blue vellum under the fishy to look like the water, adding eyelets as bubbles. Fishy was stamped with archival black and coloured using my distress re-inkers {working from a pallet and only a tiny drop of each, and some water}
I placed a piece of thick acetate over the whole tank for the glass effect, you can just make it out by the reflection of the flash in the photo, i attached this with some brass coloured big brads.
To finish i wrapped some leaf ribbon round some paper covered wire to be able to bend in place, stamped the greeting and cut it out and placed it on top of the ribbon, as per the sketch.
...
I wasn't sure about the card as i was making it but it all came together nicely!
Thanks for stopping by.. remember to post a comment so i know you've visited :O)
