Very first LOTV card!

After recently getting my very first Lili of the Valley stamps i thought I'd join in with the LOTV challenge {you don't need to use their stamps but i wanted too}

This week there is a recipe:

3 Papers, 2 Stamps, 1 Type of Embellishment

I went for the 3 yummy BG papers {a couple of which i machine stitched the edges}, 2 lotv teds which i coloured with copics and 1 old crimbo candle ornament {which i recycled for the flower and holly leaves}

The sentiment is an acrylic tile matted onto a punched out surround with brads.

Isn't he just darling.. i used picket fence distress stickles on the hat and rock candy DS on the star.

This also ticks the boxes to join in with this weeks Fun with shapes with their theme 'Recycling'

Frilly Friendship for Christmas!

I had a lovely crafty session with a friend yesterday evening via webcam... {i don't know what i'd do without it, i only have 1 crafty friend who lives sort of near to me, so this is like a lifeline to my far away mates}... anyways enough of my sad life lol

She found a super 'sketch' over at Crafty Catz.

I choose to turn it 90° clockwise as i had already coloured an image

which is the Greetings Farm, I coloured with a smudge of distress ink and then copic'ed.

{sorry for the glare in the pic.. had to use the flash as the light is very poor and i've not worked out how to edit in PSP yet!!}

I added a bit of sparkle with my clear sepia pen and some frosted lace stickles.

I framed the 'nestie'd image with gorgeous lace and finished off with some paper roses and a pin i made myself and a punched out circle i stamped the greeting onto.

The papers are DCWV and BG and the sentiment stamp is Magnolia.

This card also fits the Fun with Shapes challenge which is 'Borders and frames' this week and Simon Says Stamp with the theme 'All that Sparkles'.

'Easel'y does it now!

Ok i know yet another bad easel pun but i just couldn't help myself!..sorry :0)

Another 3 challenges met with this card...Stamp With Fun provided me with the fab 'sketch', Everybody Art's prompt was to use 'Shapes or Punches' and Fun with Shapes and More was to 'Make a Christmas card but not using the traditional colours'.

I think i managed to tick all the boxes for each challenge.

I coloured Anya with copics, adding some glitter and flock to give a bit more dimension.. i have to say I do love the flocked look.

I used my fab MS icicles punch and cut the flakes on the slice.. finishing touches were plastic flakes and a flake charm. Oh yeah and the flake papers were DCWV..

I think if there was a snowflake challenge i'd of nailed it with this card lol
