Oh 'Bee'have

Still feeling a bit under the weather so just a quick card to share today, it's one i made a while ago for a friends birthday. I hate feeling poorly as my mojo tends to go AWOL when i am, here's hoping a few days rest will do the trick and i'll be back with that pre mentioned "gorjuss"ness soon!

SS#60 & AS #10

Here is this weeks fab sketch from Sketch Saturday that i used for me card. Now you'll prob think me mad but i looked at this and the 1 thing that came to mind was that the side shape looked like a chop {as in lamb} and that really was the whole inspiration for the card.

I also found a great prompt from All Sorts which was to "Only use 1 of everything on your card" which i found was slightly harder than i had first thought it might be!

As you can see i used 1 red piece of core'dinations card to create my "chop" shape.
1 piece of gold paper, some of which i punched using my 1 MS loops punch.
1 image {panduro} i did try to use only 1 colour but it looked naff so i had to use 3 in all, but it was with 1 type of medium which was distress re'inkers.
1 sentiment embellishment, of which i used pieces from the left over card and gold paper and 1 ribbon.
I know i've slighty bent the use of "one" of everything in this card but i'm hoping it still counts lol

CCC #49

A nice easy one over at Cupcake Craft, and one to help my humbug cause as the theme this week is
A Christmas Card

I couldn't resist using this High Hopes santa and his little helpers stamp, its just soooo cute.

I used an old sketch from i believe friday sketchers some months ago, i coloured with water colour pencils and edged with distress ink, the paper is BG and i used a magnolia sentiment stamp. All shampes were cut using my Slice.

Late LTD #28 & FS #61

I cant believe over a week has past and i forgot that i had to have my Lots to Do challenge in by friday just gone.. it has been a while since i joined in last.. The theme was "Collage" and although its not a collage piece i have made i have used some collaged paper that i created ages ago, so i hope that counted.. not that it matters now anyway lol, but i like to share!

I've also used this weeks Friday Sketcher sketch again!
The cute dude image is Panduro coloured with copics, and i've used a selection of Stitchels from the Artistic Stamper to create my embellishments {stamped onto patterned paper and cut out}. The sentiment i stamped onto a mini grungeboard tag.
I distressed all elements with my peeled paint distress ink.

CCC #19 ~ CC#23 ~ FS#61

Managed to join in 3 challenges with this card
Creative Card Crew had the prompt to "Create a Scene"
Colour Create this week was "Blue and White" with an added prompt of "vintage"
and
Friday Sketcher, well they provided the sketch obviously lol
this one created by Jacqueline

Not quite sure about the vintage part of the CC challenge but i tryed with a paper doily and some vintage photo distress ink!

I managed to use NO designer papers and insteed used a wallpaper sample, and some die cut tree's and snowflakes to "create the scene". This Snowman is another of Dustin Pike's fab freebie download images. Coloured with copics and cut out so i could place him amoungst the trees!
Finished with a couple of prima blooms of which i added some of the paper doily as centers as they looked kinda snowflake like, and i put a very tiny flake eyelet in the centre.
I added some clear zooms to the tiny flakes down the side to give then some depth.
I'm not 100% sure if i like how it came out, but maybe it will grow on me!
Thanks for hopping by!

CI #17 & CCT #69

You had to use Stitching on your card this week over at CI, and for the first time i got out my sewing machine and had a go.. i'm so chuffed with the look i'll definitely be stitching more paper i can tell you! Also CCT had the theme Xmas in July.. well seeing as i'm in need of more christmas card this was perfect.
While surfing the web i came across Dustin Pike... i'd not seen his work B4 and i'm not really a big fan of the digi download {stamping is more fun} but i just couldn't resist a couple of his generous freebie images, this santa being one of them.. isn't he just darling!
He's been coloured with copics {do i own anything else! you wouldn't think so i know lol}
The paper is BG and i've also used some scraps of textured card.
Finished with some paper blooms squidged with gold stickle centres and a die cut foiled sentiment.

TSB #14

Oh yay, its that time again over at The Sugar Bowl
A fab new sketch, this time by Gayle
with the prompt to use
Ribbons and/or Bows
Not only that but you have the chance to win the amazingly fantastic "I NEED THEM ALL" new Manga stamps.. they're awesome!
...
So here is my take on the sketch...
As you can see i rotated it 90 degrees as it fit in better with how i saw the card looking in my head. Finally, i got to ink up this fab gorjuss from set 3, isn't she cute, coloured her with.. yep you guessed it.. my copics! apart from her skirt which i paper pieced to match the background papers which were all from MME, i used my Slice to cut the shapes and wording,
and finished with an assortment of ribbons/bows and a couple of paper roses.
Thanks for coming to see me and my cards, your welcome back any time

Not a Card but Gorjuss none the less...

So you're thinking what on earth is she waffling on about... well yesterday i went and had a tattoo! it was my 4th, and it's a Gorjuss..
As soon as i saw "Guardian Angel" by Suzanne Woolcott
{it's from Gorjuss set 2 of the rubber stamps made by Suger Nellie in case you didn't know}
I knew that it was the next tattoo for me, and i'm so happy with how it turned out.. you can see more of Suzanne's awesome art here
My dear OH managed to cut my face off the pic as you can see

And this is it close up.... it is quite red still and once it heals will be alot lighter, but i just couldn't wait for that and wanted to show it off now lol

My tattooist Steve Champion {Champion Tattoos} used 3 different pinks for the hair and the rest i had in black and gray.

I managed to squeeze in some Hearts to fulfill the challenge over at A Spoon Full of Sugar #59 and last but by no means least Just Magnolia #12 has Charms as there prompt.

...
I had to make the card in a hurry as i was only told today it was needed for saturday! to be posted tomorrow!!!

but i got there in the end, and i don't think it came out half bad, in fact am rather quite chuffed with it lol

High Hopes #37

I just recently received my very first High hope stamps, a couple of xmas ones and a Daniel... i had a craft day with a friend yesterday and wasted no time in inking them up...
well today i wondered if high hopes had a challenge blog, and they do, so i hopped on over only to find this weeks theme is
Stars or Stripes...
Perfect! one of the cards i made yesterday i had used striped paper on.. talk about sixth sense lol anyways enough of my rambling.. here is my card..

The papers are BG and i used my slice to create the wording, i coloured Daniel with copics and added a small metal book plate and paper ticket to finish. To be honest i wasn't sure how else to embellish it being a mans card so i left it fairly plain!

Question: Other than buttons and possibly artful collage flowers what are your top male embellishments ??

Thanks for hopping by, come back soon x

A Spoon Full of Sugar #58

Another day, another Ketto!
{i'm just so loving these stamps}
Now although it's not an all out summer style card, i thought it was quite summery! so for that reason i've cheekily entered it for this weeks challenge over at ASFOS
The theme being
SUMMER.
Image coloured with copics, I used my nesties for the shapes and l-em punch for the foliage, the large flower i hand cut from corrugated card, with the smaller ones using a woodware punch.
I used my label maker for the text, and the background stamps are stitchels {available here}
