Puppy Love!

Another day, another challenge card... I tell ya if it wasn't for all the fab blogs out there with their weekly prompts i don't think i'd ever get a card made!
This time i managed to join in with 3 of saturdays challenges
'Our Creative Corner' the prompt Monochromatic Madness
I chose classic black and white.
'The Secret Crafter' was Animal Antics, and for this i used 'hugs to share' one of the brand new range of Mabel Lucie Attwell stamps now available @ The Artistic Stamper and lastly 'Sketch Saturday'.

I'm still very much learning to colour with the black and gray copics.. but practice can only make you better so i keep on trying lol I've only just noticed but i managed to make this card with not one single patterned paper.. that has to be a first! Instead i used a piece of embossed textured card and lots of black soot distress ink!

Oh i see Papertake Weekly has the colour prompt Black -White + one.. and seeing as there is a tiny bit of green on my card i thought i'd enter that one too lol

{materials used: textured card, black soot distress ink, ek border punch, prima flowers, other flowers from my stash, black glitz brads, black lace, acrylic tag and label maker}

Nic and Claire's Midnight challenge!

My friend Claire has been having some mojo problems lately so we decided on saturday night we would make a card together via IM chat.... the webcams wouldn't work but we wern't gonna let that stop us.

We picked this fab Sketch Saturday sketch #69

and used this weeks Allsorts challenge #19 which is 'Snowflakes in September' for our theme.

We had both decided to use one of the new christmas manga's and funny enough we both picked Miss Clause... isn't she just adorable!
I also joined in with this weeks Basic Grey challenge #4 which is 'Embossing'
{materials used: Basic Grey papers, DCWV cardstock, SN Manga stamp, Copics, CB Snowflake embossing folder, Die cut merry christmas coloured with distress stickles, lace and metal charms from my collection}

SS#60 & AS #10

Here is this weeks fab sketch from Sketch Saturday that i used for me card. Now you'll prob think me mad but i looked at this and the 1 thing that came to mind was that the side shape looked like a chop {as in lamb} and that really was the whole inspiration for the card.

I also found a great prompt from All Sorts which was to "Only use 1 of everything on your card" which i found was slightly harder than i had first thought it might be!

As you can see i used 1 red piece of core'dinations card to create my "chop" shape.
1 piece of gold paper, some of which i punched using my 1 MS loops punch.
1 image {panduro} i did try to use only 1 colour but it looked naff so i had to use 3 in all, but it was with 1 type of medium which was distress re'inkers.
1 sentiment embellishment, of which i used pieces from the left over card and gold paper and 1 ribbon.
I know i've slighty bent the use of "one" of everything in this card but i'm hoping it still counts lol

Sketch Saturday #51

Found this weeks fab sketch over at SS and knew i had the perfect idea of what i was going to do.... my very first xmas card... i know.. i know.. but i'm so trying to be good this year and get a head start!

I got a great globe stamp at ally pally well over a year ago and had just not got around to trying it, and when i saw the circle in the sketch i just knew it would be ideal.

anyway enought of my waffle... here is my card...

There is actually wording in the top right corner saying "for you, with love" but it didn't photograph very well, i used versamark and mica powders.
..

Materials used:
Basic Grey wassail papers
Fiskers lace punch ,Real lace
SN Gorjuss girl, Rubbernecker globe, Tanda xmas adornment stamps, Whimsy words.
Copics, Liquid pearls, Versamark, Mica powders.

Sketch Saturday #45

Over on Sketch Saturday it's Tracie at the helm and today's sketch looks like this..

I decided to turn the sketch 90* to fit an already coloured Miss Anya image i had done using lyra crayons.. i'm still very much on a learning curve with my colouring so forgive the lack of depth and tone. Practice makes perfect....right!
..

I have used 4 of the basic grey "blush" papers, some of which were stitched using a hand held machine {again still learning, hence the wonkyness lol} and the rest were rough edged using a craft knife.

I finished off with prima flowers, an assortment of brads, and piece of gorgeous lace.
I hope this ticks all the boxes for this challenge, i had real fun putting it all together.
