My Guy Ian...

No i don't have a new man in my life, i'm talking about one of the fab Greetings farm Ian stamps that i've used for this card.. isn't he just adorable.
I do find mens cards quite challenging, mainly coz i don't make that many but i think this one turned out ok.
I got my great colour combo from the 'Photo Inspiration challenge' over at Basic Grey
I've used Wisteria, Marrakech and Off Beat papers.
I tarted it up with some silver coloured wooden stars and a couple of pins.
The little car is a plastic button and the wording stamp is greetings farm.
This card also fits in with the following challenges:

Nice to 'pleat' you!

Another day and another Tilda...
I know, i know, Minxy and Tilda don't usually go, but i seem to have grown a very tiny soft spot for her lately! This 'Cupid Tilda' in particular is super cute, i've coloured her with my new Polychromos {pencils by faber-castell} which i have to say are just fabby, and make a nice change from the copics, they have a lovely softness about them and blend well too.
As i had coloured a Tilda i decided to join in with the Special monthly
Just Magnolia challenge, the theme 'Paper Pleating',
For this i used some old book pages and then inked the edges to make them more visible,
I pleated in a curve to create a circle to follow the
fab sketch provided by this weeks Allsorts #34 Challenge
The papers are MME and CC and the flowers are from my stash.
Thanks for taking the time to come see my card, leave a comment so i know you came by :)

Love is in the air!

Well no sooner is the new year over and already i'm thinking Valentines!
Over at A Spoon Full of Sugar there theme this week is 'Hearts'

I used a great sketch courtesy of this weeks Inspirational Sketches #48
This is my first crafty make of 2010 and boy did it feel good to get crafting again, sad i know but true! I used a mix of BG papers, Devil Tilda was coloured with my trusty copics, but i removed her wings as i didn't like the colour i used, and i think she looks cool without them. I hand stitched some of the edges, and used a bit of heart sequin waste too. The love word was cute out on my Slice.

Gorjuss New Year

First let me start off by saying a very belated Happy New Year to all my blogland friends.
Mine didn't start very well unfortunatly waking up on new years eve with flu, and after a look on the nhs website finding out it could possibably be swine flu!!
So i've been out of action till now, but i'm slowly starting to feel human again and today is the first time i've been near the room of stash in what seems like ages.
This is a little desktop calender a started b4 i got ill and now finally managed to finish.
I found a calender template online by googling, but Splitcoast Stampers also have some fab downloads if your a member.
I coloured the girls with my copics, the only differance was the sitting girl is done on smooth graphic 160gsm paper and the other on my new 180gsm cartridge paper, which i really am loving the effect of, the colours just blend so much better, not that you can tell this from the pic {or maybe you can}
I also used one of my new MS deep edge border punches and a couple of prima and paper flowers to finish, the papers used were BG.
This project fits in with a few of this weeks challenges including:
Papertake Weekly 'New Beginnings'
Stamp Something 'New somethings'
Secret Crafter 'New Beginnings'
and a very late but just in time entry for Daring Cardmakers 'New Beginnings'

The Sweetest Thing

Ok so I pretty much have all my crimbo cards out the way now, and i needed a little break from it all... What better way to do that than to pick a couple of challenges and and get lost in my paper and ink...

I finally caved in and brought a couple of Tilda's i've been hankering after for ages and ages.. Perfect for joining in with the Just Magnolia challenge this week and there fabby sketch.. I also just noticed that this fits in perfect with the Magnolia Down Under challenge too, as there theme is 'Stamp with another use' and seeing as i've used one of the new christmas Tilda's as a valentines/love card i think it qualifies!

The colour combo of Pink, Burgundy and Ivory was courtesy of Colour Create

And i managed to fit in Quixotic Challenge #7: Lace
I'm also joining in with the
Creative Card Crew #41 Anything Goes and using this chance to enter there DT call, wish me luck :)
I've used BG papers, old book pages cut using the smallest nestie ovals, and paper roses from stash, I also popped on a couple of pins and used a feather to pretty it up. I threaded a thin red ribbon through the lace so i was able to gather it slighty.
Tilda was coloured with copics and then highlighted with my new and totally awsome coloursoft pencils..
I finally invested in some new paper too.. I've been told the paper makes all the differance but as i'm still learning i'm a tad clueless, I was using just a text and graphic smooth 160gsm, but got myself some cartridge paper.. one smooth 150gsm and one slightly rougher 180gsm, i've used the 180gsm on this piece, and i have to say i am impressed with the results.. the copics are a little harder to work with, just because the paper wants to suck the colour from the pen, so time and a gentle hand are needed, but definatly worth it.
Thanks for stopping by, and a very Happy Christmas to all my Blog Friends and Visitors x

Hurray...A Card!!

I finally got around to joining in with a challenge...Lili of the Valley to be precise!
There was an interesting sketch i just couldn't resist.

And just in time too seeing as there will be a new challenge tomorrow..
So here is my take on the sketch... As you can see I've turned it 90° to the left

This has to be one of the sweetest images ever.. she's just so Serene
I used my new Derwent Graphitint pencils {early crissy pressie from me mum, fank you mummy xxx} to colour her.. i need a bit of practice with these pencils but i think she looks pretty cool.
papers are MME, BG and old book! snowflakes are all MS punches, and the lettering is poundland special dome stickers.
Thanks for stopping by... and if i don't have time for another post
May i wish ya all
A Very Merry Christmas xx

It made itself...

Well not literally....This is one of those cards that kinda made itself with some odds and sods i had lying about the place and it just happens to fit in with the latest challenge over at
Crafty Catz with their theme
Angels & Fairies

I used a scrap of MME paper, The image is by Sugar Nellie which i coloured with copics, and her wings were accented with rock candy stickles. I used a punch for the sentiment and some more scraps for the mini scroll and leaves.. the flowers were from my stash {wild orchid crafts do the best paper flowers in town} And i finished it with a strip of fancy natural lace.

I'm off up to see the folks so i wont be blogging for a week or so.. {ok so thats nothing new, but this time i got a good reason lol}
Have a great rest of week and thanks for stopping by x
